The “Marin Drăcea” National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry (INCDS), Romania invites researchers, policymakers, forest practitioners, and stakeholders to the international webinar “Forest Health in a Changing Climate: From Increasing Impacts of Pests and Diseases to Assisted Migration of Tree Species.”

The event is organized within WP6 – Joint Activities of the ForestValue2 – Innovating Forest-Based Bioeconomy project and will take place on 15 October 2026, 14:00 CET, in a hybrid format at Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania, with online participation available via Zoom.

The webinar will explore how climate change is affecting forest health across Europe, focusing on the growing impacts of pests and diseases, forest resilience monitoring, assisted migration of tree species, and biosecurity measures for prevention, mitigation, and long-term forest management. It aims to strengthen collaboration between policy, science, and practice at both national and pan-European levels.

The event is organized in synergy with the 12th International Symposium Forest & Sustainable Development, hosted by the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering, Transilvania University of Brașov.
