The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation in Slovenia together with the Institute for Ethnic Studies Slovenia, recently hosted a national information day dedicated to the WIDERA work programme. The event provided valuable insights into the program’s current opportunities and showcased the successful experiences of applicants and project implementers.
Highlights of the day included presentations by National Contact Points, M.Sc. Tanja Vertelj and Maja Peharc, who outlined the key aspects of the Widening and ERA (European Research Area) mechanism. Their presentation was followed by an engaging discussion with project recipients who shared their experiences, challenges, and best practices in managing projects under the WIDERA framework.
ForestValue2 Panel Discussion
A notable segment of the event was the panel discussion featuring representatives from several successful projects, including Katja Zagar from MVZI, who presented (supported by knowledge of coordiantor Mika Kallio, MMM, Finland) the ForestValue2 project, that was funded through WIDERA call. Katja shared her insights into the project, providing clear and practical advice on the application process, effective project management, and essential tips for new applicants. Her contribution offerred actionable guidance to those considering similar funding opportunities.
